Hmawbi Agricultural Input Complex (HAIC) has received ECC certification, highlighting our dedication as the first organization in Myanmar’s pesticide manufacturing industry.

The production of parboiled rice has been established as Millco Company with a rice mill in Pathein City, Ayeyarwady Region

Myanma Awba Bio Tech Co., ltd has initiated the Organic Compound Fertilizer Plant project in Hmawbi to enhance crop yields, reduce farming costs, and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

Established the Htwet Toe Mobile Application and Village Link Technology Company to support farmers by leveraging mobile and satellite technology. These initiatives aim to provide access to agricultural techniques, market connectivity, and financial linkages.

Zega Finance Co., Ltd. received its NBFI license from the Central Bank of Myanmar.

Maha Agriculture Private Co., Ltd. secured investment from the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) to expand its operations nationwide.

To address the increasing use of agricultural pesticides in Myanmar, reduce foreign currency expenditure, and promote domestic technological development, the largest pesticide formulation plant in Southeast Asia, The Hmawbi Agricultural Inputs Complex (HAIC), was established. It was built with financial support from the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group).

2013 Event

To address the financial hardships and cultivation cost challenges faced by farmers in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis, the Maha Agriculture Microfinance Institution was established.

2010
2010 Event

Established Myanmar’s first privately-owned compound and bulk blend fertilizer factory, along with a laboratory equipped with Gas Chromatography (GC) capabilities, to promote import substitution and replace imported pesticides and fertilizers.

2008
2008 Event

Became the first company in Myanmar to produce Granulated Insecticide with an in-house granulation plant.

2007
2007 Event

Established Myanmar’s first privately-owned pesticide formulation factory and laboratory to promote import substitution. Implementation of in-house PET bottling for pesticide packaging.

2005
2005 Event

Initiated a fertilizer import and distribution business, introducing complex fertilizers to Myanmar farmers for the first time.

2004
2004 Event

Founding of Ayeyarwaddy Seeds to import and distribute high-quality hybrid seeds.

2000
2000 Event

Establishment of a repackaging plant in Yangon Industrial Zone. Expansion of the research team to 50 agronomists and distribution network to over 50 dealers nationwide.

1998

Myanma Awba Group was established, initiating operations with the import and distribution of agricultural chemicals (pesticides).
